FTC SKATES y SAN FRANCISCO (SF) v FTC, based in San Francisco, is a leading urban lifestyle brand. With world-renowned core roots in skateboarding, FTC has and continues to pioneer and promote skateboarding, the urban arts,-hiphop culture, street art, photography, music… and SF. Originally started as a retail store FTC continues to grow and stretch its roots. FTC truly represents the San Francisco lifestyle-just ask around the City. It is a personification of our how we live and what inspires us to create. Due to our evergrowing demand FTC now produces a complete mens and womens clothing line, skateboard hardgoods, videos, music cds, books, furniture, parties and most anything else. FTC has also done collaborative projects with well-respected brands like Levi's, Recon, Mad Hectic, Northface, Maglite, and Elwood Jean Co. to name a few. Art projects include Haze, Doze, Yoshitomo Nara/Takashi Murakami, Bigfoot, Mars, Misk, and many more artist friends. We have been featured in domestic and international skate, trend, and fashion magazines such as Fader, FHM, Vapors, XL8R, Huge(jpn), Relax(jpn), and dozens more. FTC now is the parent to several other brands- SFO Snowboard Shop, Movida Lounge(dj bar), Marsupial Portage, Western Edition Skateboards, FTCart,… THE CITY: SF is one of the greatest American cities-period! I can't remember anyone who visited SF and didn't like it. We have great food, architecture, people, bus system, skate spots and hills, scenery, art and music scene, liberalism... If you haven't checked out SF please come visit. Stop by FTC and we'll mark your city map with all the places you should check out in SF! No Fisherman's Wharf or Pier 39-ever! I can't think of another city that compares to SF. Sometimes I call it "mini NYC". The only con to SF living is the cost of living. We aren't proud that SF has the highest gasoline and housing prices in the US. I guess everyone wants to call San Francisco home. FTC SKATE: SF is THE streetskating mecca! the most popular spots are New Spot and Pier 7. SF is building its first street skate park to be completed this fall. yeah! Our City's skateboard task force plan to open four more parks in the next few years so it should only get better for SF skaters. Since we haven't had our own park everyone rides the streets, hills, and temporary spots that eventually get shut down. SF is also the present home to many notable pros-Brian Anderson, Stevie Williams, Brad Staba, Tim O'Conner, Pat Washington, Nikhil Thayer, Rob Welsh, Keith Hufnagel, Matt Field, Karl Watson, and about two dozen more so come check 'em out! FTC SHOP: The new FTC flagship store is 3x larger than our last location which allows us to stock much more clothing than ever before. Brands like FTC, Stussy, Analog, Elwood, & Nike share floor space with the best skate brands in the industry and a few independents like Poetree(Jef Hartsel) and RockersNYC. We now have a womens dept. with Xgirl, Stussy, Analog, and ladies sneakers from DC, Etnies, & DVS. MORE… As we head into summer FTC and our family of brands (Marsupial Portage, FTCart, Western Edition skateboards, SFO snow,LIVE clothing) will continue our neverending journey to build upon what we started years ago. FTC dabbles in the art, music, literature, and fashion world in addition to contributing to the world of skateboarding.
